The Senior Accountant will oversee key accounting functions, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support financial decision-making. This role is responsible for managing complex accounting activities including specialized projects, supporting audits, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, and strengthening internal controls. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to improve processes.

- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
- Support with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate reporting
- Support with the integrity of the general ledger and ensure compliance with accounting policies and standards
- Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and responses to audit requests
- Identify, investigate, and resolve accounting discrepancies and unusual variances
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support business decisions
- Develop, document, and enhance accounting processes and internal controls
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial data and process alignment
- Support compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, and company policies
- Participate in system improvements, automation initiatives, and ERP optimization efforts
- Prepare management reports and provide insights on financial performance and trends
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 4–6+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and close processes
- Experience preparing financial statements, reconciliations, and audit support documentation
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting or ERP systems
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across departments
- CMA or CPA certification or progress toward certification strongly preferred
- Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and implement stronger controls
- Experience with financial analysis, variance reporting, and management reporting
